My Cricut Craft Room - The Letter I

Good morning friends!  What a beautiful Monday morning!

Today, I have a little card I made using the Independence Day - Celebrate.  What a CUTE cartridge!  My dad's birthday is September 3, Labor Day.

I found this adorable little heart shaped flag and thought it would be perfect for his day.  I cut everything at 4 inches.  It was so simple to put together and i just love how it came out!

For the inside, I used the Celebrations Cricut cartridge and cut out the phrase "Happy Birthday." I kept myself from blinging up the card because it is for my dad, but could you imagine some bling on the stars and glitter on the phrase?  Oh! My!

Well, I hope you enjoyed my little card.  Head back over to My Cricut Craftroom to see all the other amazing projects.

My Imagine-ation Monday August 20, 2012 CCR Carts

Good morning fellow crafters! I hope you had a great weekend!  I did, but it is the end of my vacation.  Back to work for me!

Today's project was definitely a labor of love.  Both my kids have learning disabilities, so I know what kind of year their teachers are in for already!!  LOL! I know the miracles they will work with my kidlets and this is the least I can do for them.

Using the Cricut Craftroom Exclusive cartridges K-12 and Bookmark Classics, I created this school supply cake for my daughter's teacher.

She is in a third/fourth grade combination class so I made both a third grade flag and a fourth grade flag. They are cut from the K-12 CCR cart!  Awesome cartrdge, by the way!

The School house is cut from My World Cricut cartridge.

And the Back To School sign is from Cricut Office Help cartridge.

Finally, I cut and laminated 36 5 inch bookmarks from CCR exclusive cart Bookmark Classics.

Well, there you have it.  Please go back over to My Cricut Craftroom to see what amazing projects my sister design team members have in store for you!

Have a great day!

Hugs!

My Cricut Craft Room Theme Thursday--Back To School!!

Good morning, friends!!  As you are reading this, we are busy running all over the house looking for lost shoes, backpacks, sweaters, etc.  It is back to school day in our household!  Hubby and I are overjoyed!  I wish the kids were as excited.

Today's project is going to help us stay more organized this year.  With a 17 year old and and 8 year old in two very different schools, it gets kind of confusing as to who is doing what when.  My son is famous for saying things like, "but I told you we have an all day competion!"  an hour before the competition!!  Grrr!!!

Well, I went to the Dollar Tree and found these two magnetic whiteboards.  So excited!  They were only a $1.00 each!  Then I took some vinyl.  Red is for Vince and purple is for Alyssa.  Their favorite colors or did you figure that one out already? LOL!!

Using A Child's Year, I cut out their names at 1.5 inches and the the read image and the child reading at 2.25 inches.

I used contact paper to take them off the vinyl backing and laid them on the white boards, placing them where I wanted them to be.

Viola!!  We can write little reminders about where we need to be at what time and we are ready for the next school year!!

I hope you enjoyed my simple project today.  Please go back over to My Cricut Craftroom to see what amazing projects my sister design team members have in store for you!

It's Scrapbook Friday Dance Edition!!

Good Morning!  Hot enough for you?!?!  LOL!  Today, my project for My Cricut Craft Room is a layout using a dance theme.  My little princess isn't into dance in any organized way, but when she was little, she loved to dance, especially when someone was holding her.  I had a couple pictures of her with the babysitter's daughter, and thought they would be perfect for this layout.

I used the new Circle cart Something To Remember for the cuts.

I love the font.  It is not too skinny and not to fat.  It is just right!

Of course what is a layout without a little bling, right?

Finally, I made this little bead spray to look like a bouquet of flowers.  So easy to make and so much fun!  You do get sore fingers after a while though.  So much twisting and turning.

Well, there you have it.  That is my project for the week.  Please head back over to  hope you enjoyed it!  Don't forget to go back to My Cricut Craft room and give my sister design team members some love too!

Have a great weekend and stay cool!!

Hugs,

Jodie

I have made this great project to share with you today.  It's an explosion box for my sweet step daughter, Jenny.  I used Ole, Florals Embellished and Teresa Collins Black and white Imagine Cartridges, plus a few cuts from other carts.

I printed a 12 x 12 zebra print page from Teresa Collins on white cardstock and I cut a lid from Sweet Tooth Boxes at 7.25 inches on real size.  It fit the Explosion box perfectly.

For the lid, I cut the donkey Pinata from Ole cut at 2.5 inches. I put the layers together and backed it with some  red ruffled ribbon.

For the inside, I cut a butterfly and a dove from Florals Embellished at 2.75 inches.  the phrase Feliz Cumpleanos from Ole cut at 3 inches.

The cake was a little different. I cut a 2 inch circle and a 3 inch circle and 3 1 inch by 11 inch strips of paper.  It was a lot of trial and error, but I created a pretty fun cake with a small storage compartment in the top layer to hold some little earrings. I will refine the directions and do another how to post later.

So, there is my finished project.  I hope you enjoy it.

Mona's project is next.
